Martha Brockenbrough is the author of 21 books for young readers, including Into The Bloodred Woods, a YA novel that sets the patriarchy on fire, and I Am an American: The Wong Kim Ark Story, about why Americans have birthright citizenship. She teaches at Vermont College of Fine Arts, is excellent at hula hooping, and enjoys cats and dogs equally.
